SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, October 7, 2023! The City of Montevallo will be participating in Shelby County Alabama's FREE Landfill Day for residents. Bring trash to Montevallo’s Recycling Center (1120 Overland Rd) from 7am to 1:30pm. ***NOTE*** Recycling Center will close at 2pm that day to get items to the landfill on time. ***PLEASE have your items there by 1:30PM so they can get to the Landfill on TIME!***
You can also take your items directly to the Shelby County Landfill. The Shelby County Highway 70 Landfill is located at 401 Landfill Road, just off Highway 70 between Columbiana and Calera. The Landfill does NOT accept Hazardous waste, tires, batteries, or liquids of any type. All participants must be unloaded and exited by 3:30 PM.
